    Can I enforce for someone else
    I borrowed money from a friend. I signed a promissary note, since then he has passed away and his mother wants to take me to court

    The money you owe him is now part of his estate. The loan does not go away with his death. Who is the executor of his estate? His mother?

    Yes you now owe the debt to the estate and the estate can sue you to collect.
