    Installing DownDraft Cook top. Please help
    Hello, I recently threw out the ancient broken cook top, and replaced it with this.

    Now I've just got to hook up the wiring. So I've got this coming out of the cook top.

    And it either needs to go directly into the power box or I need to hook it up to these wires (which may just have belonged to the old stove, going into the power box)

    Any help on what the hell I should do is greatly appreciated. If anyone is willing to skype with me, id be more than happy to pay you. Thanks everyone!

    Connecting a light fixture is one thing... for this I would recommend a call
    To a local electrician who can guarantee the work and your safety...

    What did you expect? You show the ends of two cables? We don't even know where those cables go. Don't you have any instructions.

I am replacing an electric cooktop with a gas cooktop. The electric cooktop is wired to a 30 amp breaker. The gas cook-top needs a 15 amp breaker. Do I need to pull the 30 amp service and run a new line from a new 15amp breaker? There is plenty of room in the panel to do this.
