    Bleeding
I had a bleeding three days after my menstruation. I'm taking birth control pills and forgot to take it for 4 days. I had an unprotected intercourse with my husband on the 2nd day I forgot to take pills. My menstruation was very light and lasted for 6 days. My bleeding is quite heavier than my usual period. What could be the reason? Is there a possibility that I could be pregnant? Please help, I need answers, I'm scared.. this is the first time that I'd experience bleeding in between my period...

I am not an expert however have been on all birth controls and two pregnancies, two c-sections and a tubal. Now cervical provlems. In my experience getting on and off your birth control or forgetting to take is can definitely affect your periods in all differebt ways. I would say give it a month of constant usage of birth conrtol to see if it regulates back to normal. If you feel like you might be pregnant contact your obgyn. Both times I was pregnant I knew it two wrrks before my missed period. However everyone is different. Also birth controla can vary with periods. Some you will bleed normal every month, other times not at all, then.if you have the abnormal bleeding you should talk to your obgyn and see if changing your birth control would help. More then likely they will want you to continue using it for a while to see if it goes back to normal..

Even without a missed pill, birth control is not 100 percent, so of course you COULD be pregnant. But missing 4 pills will make the birth control much less effective. So yes a much larger chance of pregnancy.

There is no way to tell, so best to just wait till next month and see if you get that period or not. If not, then do a urine test, with first urine of day

Actually, you cannot have a period while pregnant. The definition of a period is the shedding of the uterine lining when implantation/pregnancy does not occur. There are reasons other than "periods" for bleeding during pregnancy such as manipulation of the cervix, low hormonal levels, placenta previa, etc.

Considering the OP missed 4 days of birth control pills, it is possible that she is experiencing break through bleeding caused by the withdrawal of hormones from missing the pills.

The pill is designed to be taken at the same time every day. If missed, there is an increased risk of pregnancy.
