Can you identify my veneer bureau/desk?
I have inherited a veneer bureau/desk which has a flat lift top, 2 roll front drawers and 2 lower cupboards, all lockable and is similar to a chest of drawers in appearance. I would like to know if it is classified antique and also what type it is. I have searched on a large variety of sites to find out what category the desk/bureau fits into and have not been able to identify it. It would have been purchased in the 1950's by my parents. Please can someone help?

This is how Wik defines antiques and collectibles:
" It is common practice to define "antique" as applying to objects at least 100 years old. Generally speaking, collectables are the possible antiques of the future and generally less than 100 years old. "

But there are most likely many other opinions about the subject.
