No, just gave thanks to be alive, and the wisdom and strength to deal with reality. Same as everyday. I put no one between me and my God, nor put anyone on a pedestal. That includes you and Obama.

You and the rest of the Democrats are doing EXACTLY that... putting OweBama up on a pedistal talking about how wonderful , perfect and wise he is... despite EVERY bit of evidence he is a clueless dolt, without a shred of common sense..

No I just think you want to shoot the messenger instead of looking at the real problem; the uncooperative republicans who stop the process from working through obstructionism

Obama didn't "win" you lost because of your candidate's big mouth!

Today Fisker Automotive, which received nearly $200 million in taxpayer money, is laying off 3/4 of its U.S. workers. Fisker of course is the company that makes electric cars for the 1%. They make the ultra-expensive Karma ;an electric hybid that is assembled in Finland .They received a green-energy loan to transition the assembly to the U.S. something that never happened.
The Fisker joins Tesla and other "green energy companies as Obama boondoggles and examples of his brand of "crony capitalism ".

Call it what you will but the capitalism is hardly the crony type, since the DOE is the one rethinking its options,

The company ran into a cash crunch after the federal government froze an Energy Department loan. Fisker is supposed to make the first payment on some of $192 million it borrowed from the government later this month.
Potential buyers would want to tap into the federal money to restart the business and launch work on a second model, the Atlantic, a $55,000, four-door rechargeable sports sedan. However, the government is reluctant to extend more credit without getting guarantees for U.S. employment and setting milestones for the development of the next vehicle.

Oh I think it's exactly that.
Nice trying to deflect the blame to DOE... next you'll say it is regulations that failed it.

Fisker hasn't built a car since July and its primary battery supplier, A123 Systems Inc. filed for bankruptcy protection and was purchased by Chinese auto parts maker Wanxiang Group Inc. It has been looking for a buyer for the company and hasn't found it. Maybe the US taxpayer can buy it and give the shares to the UAW .
A123 Systems was another Obamaboondoggle .

And while we 're at it ; The Obots shut down the WH tours and have been belly aching about the effects of the sequester.. Well when it came to spending priorities ;they made sure their cronies got their slice of the pie.

Section 1603 payments have not escaped sequestration, though awards will continue to be distributed for at least the next six months. Projects awarded Section 1603 funds beginning March 1, 2013, and continuing through September 30, 2013, will see an 8.7 percent reduction in their award amounts

Me too, but Lockheed and the Netherlands may not agree since they have invested a considerable amount into its completion.

It's the one big disagreement with the military people I communicate with. It was a nice thought ;a one size fits all needs for all branches of service. But no ;it never could work.. If we are going to spend major $$$ on 21st century weaponry then it should perform better than it's 20th Century competition. I note that this week we sent a squadron of stealth F-22 Raptors to South Korea... not F-35 JSF .

I think with technology growing so fast, the shelf life for the latest weapons is a shorter one than they think. The F35 is a 50 year fix, but in 10 years it could be obsolete. The carriers may be as obsolete too.

I used to think that too ;but the Navy will rock with Electromagnetic Rail Guns mounted on carrier escorts . Those bad boys will be able to disable the anti-carrier missiles that the Chinese are developing before the carriers are in range.
They should be deployable and standard issue by 2020 .

Yes there is a problem with putting all your eggs in one basket. Should there be a development of an EMP weapon it could take that system out leaving it defenseless. We need to be careful with choices we make and how much we rely on pure technology.
