    Sick 8 days late
    My period has been on time same until this month I got really sick with a viral virus and had it for over 3 weeks I am 8 days late and all hpt say negative could my sickness just made me late ? We have been trying to conceive for 3 months : ( thanks for your help

    It could be either or, sorry. Test again in a few days.
    No matter how regular a woman's periods are, there are always going to be months that aren't, and she will change as she ages too.
    Stopping menstrual flow is nature's way of keeping blood on hand (sometimes) for other situations, from stress to disease to nutritional deficiency to extreme athletics.
