    Benicar
I recently started taking Benicar for my high blood pressure (3/11). Prior to meds, my BP was in the 140+/85-100 range. After 2 weeks, I returned for a recheck and BP was 122/76. Yesterday, I left work not feeling well... light-headed, nauseated, headache. I spent most of the evening in bed with an overall "blah" feeling... almost flu-like body aches & chills, to sweats. Today, I am feeling much better, but become short of breath while dressing, climbing stairs, etc. I checked my BP at work with a wrist machine and then again at the Walmart Pharmacy... and of the 3 times, it was in the 90/60 range. I tried to call my NP, but the office is closed this afternoon! I am getting ready to leave town for work and wanted to know if I should alter my meds/dose, or is it even a concern? Thanks in advance for your advice!

Did you miss eating any meals before taking those measurements?

Had to ask that... take the meds and miss breakfast... you can be certain to have your pressure drop like that.

Same breakfast every day... either a granola bar or fruit & nut bar! I did not take my BP yesterday when I felt even worse... only today, before lunch!

Smoothy was correct in asking that question. It is valid, but we can't advise you to alter your dose. Best to inquire at emerg
