    Thermostat for central a/c
    I'm not getting 24 volts to my thermostat, where does the voltage come from and how do I check it

    I comes from the furnace or air handler. Look for a 3 or 5 amp automotive type fuse.

    If not the fuse, could be the transformer-I'd bet on a fuse, that's why they are there.
