    Brakes for toyota fair price
    Hello -

Need to have new brakes - metal to metal now so not driving. Just started metal to metal. What would be a fair price for a mechanic with his own business to charge? This is a 2001 Toyota Echo.

Thank you for any suggestions.. [/B]

Hard to say. You admit it is metal to metal so you may need new rotors, not just turning. Rebuild calipers? What type pads? OEM. ceramic? Pads probably cost $35, rotors $40 ea. What are local labor charges? In shop? Handyman. Could be $200-500 depending on what needs to be done.
