    Prepaid taxes
I am working on my 2012 taxes. I made some prepayments, but lost my record of how many and how much. Can I contact state and federal IRS for the amounts?

You will need to call the IRS to ask. Look in the instructions for Form 1040-ES to see if there us a specific phone # to call, because calling 1-800-829-1040 now virtually guarantees an hour wait on hold.

Go to the state tax website for the number to call about state estimated tax payments.
