Hi I just started my period on the 13th of this month and I was supposed to end the 19-20th and on the 20th I didn't bleed but me and my boyfriend did have sex three times while I was on my period but in the shower since women do not bleed in the shower, I also just started birth control on the 13th for thee first time but missed two days because I was working late so I asked my doctor what to do and she told me to just start over again today and do not miss any more days so I thought I was pregnant because I felt like I am getting fatter, I took three home tests and they came back negative then I took a blood test on the 20th because I thought I was done with my period and the blood test showed up negative, but I just don't know if I'm getting fatter or if I'm developing. Now I'm scared because I thought I stopped my period on the 20th since I did not bleed but I started bleeding again on the 21st and I'm currently still bleeding, I have no idea why I'm still bleeding. Is it because I am stressed, started new birth control or because I might be pregnant or because my period may have not finished completely since I had sex during my period a few times.

It is probably your new birth control that is messing your period up. Give it some time and you will be able to predict when your period is going to happen. Also having sex before the time you're about to have your period can make it come sooner. It may also prolong it if you have sex when your period is about over. Stress can effect your periods too. Just relax and give it time and take another test if you are still worried in a few weeks. It takes a while before the pregnancy tests can work, after the missed period. From your post it sounds like it is too soon to tell and you are probably worrying over nothing :)
