    I would get a second opinion. The word 'hystericus' is out of date for globus, because there are plenty of physical reasons for it that may not be psychological at all. Has your doctor actually done any tests, and if so, which ones?

    You need a referral to an ear, nose and throat specialist. Do you have this symptom when faced with a situation you can't or don't want to handle?
