I recently moved into a townhome that was a model, is 5 years old and never lived in. The shower is limestone tiles for walls, a travertine liner at the bottom of the walls, and onyx floor. After a shower, the onyx on the floor darkens with a wet spot. It spreads each time you shower. If you don't shower for a few days, it disappears (when the wet spot is smaller). When the wet spot got bigger, it would take over a week of nonuse to disappear. We quit using the shower when the wet spot had grown to cover the floor and seemed to be edging up the tile liner at the bottom of the side walls. The builder is checking the weep holes today and one appears OK. He is checking the other two. Is it normal for the onyx to get darker (retaining water) with each shower? I'm concerned that with continued use the water retainage grows. And will it eventually spill somewhere and cause damage?

Let it completely dry and seal with good sealer. Give it several coats. Do walls as well. Let it thoroughly dry between coats. See if it continues... Back to you / Milo

Will do. Before using the shower, I put 4 coats of Bulletproof on as I was cautioned about care of natural stone. Limestone beads up when wet but not the onyx. That's why I don't understand why so much water is holding.

They say one weep hole was plugged, other two OK. He pulled out a few surrounding tiles and checked them. So hope this fixes it. If not, they need to pull the pan?
