In your opinion, does it sound like I am pregnant?
I was on the IUD for three years. I got it removed the 14th of this month. I believe the first day of my last period was the 24th of Feb. I am a very petite girl. I stay pretty much the same weight. (besides when I was pregnant with my daughter) that's how I thought I was pregnant because I was so tiny and then got bloated often and gained some weight. After I gave birth to her I was back to being petite. I've always ate a lot and not gained weight. Well, I am starting to be bloated ALL THE TIME. I'm little everywhere else but starting to get a belly. I went from 98 to 105 in about a month. I got my period this Saturday (23 of march) well what I thought was a period. It wasn't heavy at all that day. I put a tampond in, took it out and it was brown blood. And then a little red. Yesterday, nothing but a little red blood. I put it a tampond last night, woke up with nothing on it. Today no blood, no spotting.. I went to pee, whiped and I have some brown gooey discharge (not a lot). My boyfriend and I had sex, he got off in me every night since I've gotten my iud out. But the timing just doesn't seem right for me to be pregnant. They say you ovulate every 14 days, that's when I would have been on my iud. I'm just wondering what's up with my period and all this bloating? I haven't had much enegry in the past few weeks either. I took a pregnancy test a week ago, negative.. took one today, negative. Would I need to wait longer and take one or am I just freaking out and my period is just doing this maybe because of the IUD being out?

Did you not ready my post? I took a pregnancy test a week ago and today, negative. But is it too early to tell? No need to be rude. This is what this website is for

A good idea is to call your doctor to find out what a period would be like and how soon to expect it?

You need some better information. First, you ovulate once each cycle, not every 14 days. In an average healthy woman, a cycle is 28 days long. Day 1 is the first day after your period ends. Most women ovulate on or around Day 14. You are considered fertile for a couple days before and a couple of days after you ovulate. If you have sex close enough to ovulation and the sperm fertilizes the egg, it travels through the fallopian tube and is meant to implant in the blood-rich uterine wall, which provides it nourishment as it grows. If all this happens, you are pregnant. If you don't have sex in that window, or the sperm fails to fertilize the egg, or the egg fails to implant, you do not get pregnant. Since there's no baby, you don't need the blood-rich lining and your body sheds it, which is why you get a period.

When you go off birth control, it can mess up your cycle for a few months and sometimes even longer. Removing an IUD can cause some irritation and bleeding. Brown blood is old blood - not from fresh bleeding. My guess is that the brown blood was from the removal of the IUD.

It is possible that you are pregnant, but it is way too soon to know. Since you had an IUD removed this month, wait a month and then take another pregnancy test. Since pregnancy is possible, avoid alcohol, smoking, drugs, over the counter medication, etc. to be on the safe side.

As for the bloating, it's hard to know what is causing that. It could be related to removing the IUD if it caused inflammation or bleeding. You could have just gained a few pounds. We can't really know. If it doesn't resolve within a week or two, go to the doctor.
