    Outbreak
I guess this is the category it belongs in. I have genital herpes. I haven't had an outbreak for 3 years. Now I have like one little bump on my private area that's red and hurts. Let me also just say that I haven't had sex in 2 years and it doesn't look like it did when I first got tested. Its been like this for two days and nothing has spread or anything. So should I worry? Should I wait it out to see if its something else and not over react?

It could really be a number of things though from a cyst to an ingrown hair (depending on where exactly, obviously). Without actually seeing it, it's hard to say.
But, you're right usually herpes is blister like and spreads a bit. Though they usually start as just one, I think. Everyone has different experiences and it really depends on your immune system.

If it's really bothering you go to the doctor. It's better to know what it is for sure, so you can treat it earlier if it's something serious or if it's a flare up of herpes.

Thank you for answering my question. Its not hurting anymore like it was the other day and when I looked it looks like a regular bump now. I can't speak for everyone who has genital herpes but it's a scary thing for me. I still don't want it to this day and I would take almost anything Almost other than an outbreak. Its been so long since I had one imagine how stressed I am and stress causes outbreaks so I need to calm down. Lol. Even though I don't want to I guess ill still go to the doctor. That would be common sense. Thank You.
