    Air in Pipes
I did some repairs on a kitchen tap which required me to turn the water off below the taps, when I turned the water back on I now have a loud noise whenever I flush the toilet on the second floor above the kitchen taps. I tried running the water throughout the house to try and get the air out of the pipes but this did not work this time, any ideas on how to fix this annoying problem.

Are you US or UK. The use of the term tap makes me ask.

Do you mean you turned the water off at the stop valves beneath the kitchen faucet?

What kind of loud noise, a single loud bang when the toilet has finished filling, or a series of rapid banging while the toilet is filling?
