I was given a high risk medication at a hospital and a few days later I almost died
I was given a high risk (for me) medication at a hospital and a few days later I almost died due to the medication. There was an alternative medicine, but the doctors decided to go with the first. I had to be admitted to the hospital for 4 days and had to undergo an endoscopic procedure. I am not insured and am very worried about these medical bills. Not to mention that I would not have had the problem if the doctors hadn't prescribed a risky medication. Do I have any legal outlets in this case?

Did a social worker at the hospital talk to you about and get you on Medicaid coverage?

Were you told the risks of this medication before you took it? Were you forced to take the medication, or did you choose to even after knowing that there were risks?
