    Loud toilet supply valve
I have a toilet water supply valve, (out of the wall-to toilet), that is very loud! From what I have researched it is "Water Hammering". Loud thudding sound.

What can I do to quiet it down?

Thank you in advance for any helpful answers

The valve does not make ths noise, it's the water trying to use momentum to keep flowing againist the flush valve. Sorry about the caps, my cap lock key just broke. You could install a hammer arrestor or try a new flush valve. Sioux Chief

Do any other taps give you water hammer or is it just the fill valve? Back to you, Tom

I have a water supply valve that supplies water to the toilet. The valve is not made with a removal flex line fitting. Instead it has a galvanized flex tube that is a valve and tube combo (1 piece) with a valve shutoff handle. You can see where I am going with this... I want to change it out...
