Need advice on separate vacation or not...
Hello. Me and my Fiancé had broken up at one point, and I really thought we would not get back together again. However, we did get back together after a week went by, but in the interim I had booked a trip to the Caribbean. The thing is that there is no refund if I cancel. My fiancé first told me to keep it and go have fun. Just last night he said for me to cancel because he doesn't think he can be without me for a week, but that he would re-reimburse me the cost of the trip..

Just wondering if I should still go, because I don/t want my fiancé to have to re-reimburse me for the trip, since it was kind of expensive to book. What are the ethics on this situation?

Go. Have fun. He can live without you for a week. If he says he can't, then he's being childish. That's no reason for you to give up on this trip.

Thanks for your advice. What do I do about him if he is acting childish?

Tell him he's being an idiot... you booked it when you were broken up... it's not fair that he should keep you from going.

So he's that insecure that he can't let you go on a trip for a week. He sounds kind of like he's jealous that you are going.

EDIT- I just looked back at your other posts about this guy. Really... why are you still putting up with him? Has he changed at all? I think you deserve better than that and that makes me say even more that you should definitely go on this vacation and if he whines about it, tell him to get lost.

Thank you again for your advice. Yes he has changed somewhat in that he is helping me now with the rent, etc. Although, I believe you are right in that since I made these arrangements when we were broken up, I should still go.

Of course you go and have fun. Given the way he handles his money, trusting him to reimburse you would be foolish.

Others have given you some good answers. I would like to add that I agree with you going ahead with your trip. You already planned it, and he will just have to accept it. If he doesn't, then it's his loss. Good luck.
