Need Help on Dodge Truck Wiring
I was helping a friend install a siren in his dodge truck (volunteer Firefighter) and somehow the positive and ground touched and caused the horn, interior lights, and buzzer to deactivate. I checked all fuses in fuse block and all fuses and relays under the hood and they were all good with none blown. The ground is attached to the negative battery post and the positive wire in wedged into a fuse spot where the power seats circuit breaker would go and 2 speaker wires that ran through the firewall to the speaker. Please help.

Could be a fusible link. Do you have power going into those fuses feeding the things not working? They work just like fuses, except they are harder to find and fix. Look for bulges in the wiring near where the power comes off the starter solenoid or battery. Often they are purple or pink. You buy repair kits based on the wire size, cut out the old, and splice them in. The fusible links protect the wire between the battery and the fuse box. If you have trouble finding it, work back from the wire feeding the fuses that are dead.

Accidents happen. With fusible links, you don't burn up a wire and maybe take a bunch of other with it.
