Ceiling light change switch not working
I have replaced a ceiling light fixture. White wire, black wire and grounding. Coming from ceiling are the same white wire, black wire and grounding. Connected white to white, black to black and grounding to grounding. At light switch there is the white wire connected to the switch going in and out. Black wire is capped together with black wire.

Switch is not turning off light.

Something not right here. Confirm that there is only one white wire and one black wire in the ceiling box.

Sounds like you might have a switch loop but there should be more wires. Usually there is a white and black on the switch for a switch loop. Count again or use a VOM to check power.
