Birth Control and Am I Pregnant?
I started my period two weeks ago, on the 16th of January, and on Sunday, within twenty-four hours, I also started birth control. This is the first time I have taken birth control. When my doctor gave me the prescription, he did not tell me how to use it. He simply gave me the prescription and walked out of the room.
When I got home after filling the prescription, of course, I read the leaflet that comes with it. It says that, after taking the BC for seven days, you can have unprotected sex. I missed one pill the first week, but made it up the next morning. The leaflet said, even after missing a day, you could still continue to have unprotected sex( but I missed it before having taken it perfectly the first seven days.) I had unprotected sex on the sixth day of taking it, but the guy pulled out. I then had unprotected sex two more times, before the two week mark of taking the BC- without the guy pulling out.
Other than missing a pill the first day, I have only been maybe thirty minutes late taking the BC. I know that some doctors recommend waiting a month, while on and starting birth control, to have unprotected sex so that your body can become use to it. My question is, am I protected; or, is there a chance I could be pregnant?

There is NO existing form of birth control that is 100% effective...

If you have sex you ALWAYS run the risk of pregnancy... Unless of course you are having cyber sex over a web cam and you are in two different cities... THAT and ONLY THAT is 100% safe.

If you aren't in a position right now to become a parent... its time to rethink having sex. Or at least use several forms to reduce your chances.. particularly since you haven't learned to take your pills every day on time yet...

And just so you know... pulling out isn't a form of birth control. He can get you pregnant the moment he inserts.

A guys tool is like a leaking garden hose... you don't have to turn the sray nozzle on to get wet.
