Brand new home- hot water issues.
We just bought a newly renovated home everything in the house is completely new. When the house was inspected we had hot water in the showers, now we don't (2 weeks later). We have hot water in both the sinks in the bathrooms and in the kitchen. What can we do?

You have no water at all in your showers ? What kind of shower valves do you have ?

All hot water pipes are connected and come from one source. Therefore, your sinks and showers are on the same pipe. If you have hot water in the sink - but not in shower, than the problem is in your shower. It may be number of things that may have gone wrong - but most likely it is your pressure balancing valve. Can you snap a photo of your shower faucet and post it for us ?

First where you actually there during the home inspection and saw personally the hot water in showers?
I had one home inspection where the oven and air conditional both "worked" hard to do that if the 220 in the home was not working due to pannel box issues. So many home inspection reports are not worth paper they are written on

If you have cold water but not hot I would suspect a clogged cartridge,
Try this. Shut the water off and pull the cartridge, Check the inlet ports for trash and clean. Now place a pan over the open valve and turn the water back on for a minute to flush out the supply. You should have a strong stream when doing so. Reassemble and test. If that works do it on all affected taps, good luck, Tom
