    Pregnancy
Hi I'm currently 19 weeks and 4 days pregnant. What it is, is that my last period was the 16 October 2012 and I fell pregnant that month I had my 12 week scan on the 22nd jan this year and I was 14 weeks and 1 day due date is the 22 July this year. I went for my 20 week scan on the 26 feb which would have made me 19 weeks and one day then baby length is measuring 17 weeks and 5 days and head is measuring 17 weeks and 6 days I'm a little confused as on the 12 week scan I was measuring a week more and now baby is measruing smaller. Consultant isn't to concerned but I'm still confused on how baby is smaller than she should be. Has anyone had this and baby been OK? I didn't have nothing like this with my first child oh my second my second my second child was born with cmv so I'm worrying whether she has cmv too the consultant said I won't get it again but I don't know what to think. The placenta is also anterior if this helps in anyway. Thanks any info will be great

    A consultant, not a Physician?

    Have you asked the Doctor?

And, yes, size and weights vary.

EDIT: I note that you have other issues which you chose not to post here. How do you expect to get worthwhile answers when you post half of the facts here and half somewhere else? https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/medica...us-102634.html

I'm sorry but "one" CAN affect the birth weight of the "other."

This Board is about experience and knowledge and research.

    You mad bro?

The reason that was brought up by Judy is that the more information you include, the better your chances of an accurate answer are. If you withhold information, it can affect the answer. And, as she pointed out, one does affect the other.

I'd want to know this: "The following potential problems can occur for infants who are infected from their mothers before (during pregnancy) birth:
    1.
Moderate enlargement of the liver and spleen, small red spots on the skin, problems with the eyes and seizures are potential complications.
85-95% will have no symptoms or complications at birth and the majority will not develop problems later in life.
10-15% of those at birth with no symptoms, will go on to develop varying degrees of hearing and mental or coordination problems."
Cytomegalovirus (CMV) Infection - American Pregnancy Association

Interesting to note that one of the OP's children DOES have problems due to the virus but she "hopes" this one won't. So she does know - to quote OP: "I contacted cmv when i was pregnant with my second child and i dont have any problems that i now of i am pregnant now again so hoping she dont get cmv like my son did the chances are supposed to be very slim but can't be too sure x"

She's hoping this child don't get it.

Snarky started with your first reply where you had all those exclamation points because you didn't like the answer. We actually are a good group of people as long as we are treated right. We're all volunteers here... we don't get paid to have people yell at us because they don't like the answer they get. Sorry you didn't like hearing what you were told.

Ok, I understand. It's just that using all those exclamation points makes it look like you were being a little mean about it.

We know what you were asking but along with that comes what Judy had mentioned as it is possible that this is all related to that. At this point, it seems like you will just have to go with what the doctor told you.
