No... because for one thing... its close to an even split... though three are slightly more women.

There are more females than males so guys get to be a minority ?

What would the benefit be to actually doing this ?

No real benefit because to start with because the minority status is by virtue of only a very small percentage. Also claiming a minority status implies there is some sort of discrimination that occurs as a result.

I forget the actual percentages... but 49% crying they are being oppressed because the other gender has 2% more people is almost commical... not to mention unbelievible...

Now however if it was more like 80% vs 20% the argument might have more merit.

    The question is poorly postulated.

Women as a minority depends on the context. Generally the US government uses the phrase 'minorities and women' when talking about job statistics and small business owners, for the reason that women have been discriminated against in the workplace, and at top levels, still are.

Go to the public or your school library and ask a librarian for help to find some books that will help you.

Is equality even possible between men and women? Explain.
Do you think that given the biological differences between women and men, gender equality are still possible?

Equal in what ways? Explain. Equal when it comes to jobs, to providing, to being an integral part of society? Or equal in biological ways? If it's biological, then no, we can't be equal. There's no way that men will become pregnant (without help) give birth, produce milk in their breasts to feed their children, menstruate, etc. and there's no way for women to grow a penis. So biologically, equality is impossible. Socially, I would have to agree with WG. :)
