Bleached, then toned, NOW IM GREY!
OK. So I consider myself a haircolor Novice, partly because my mom was a cosmetologist, and I have been successfully coloring my hair at home for about 10 years now. But NOT THIS TIME! I have naturally Sandy Blonde hair. I decided just for a change of pace, and frequenting boredom, to go to a dark Auburn. That was a few months ago. Then I decided I was bored again, and wanted my Blonde back. Used Colorsilk in Ultra light Natural Blonde. That didn't do it. Was orangey and white roots, like I KNEW in the back of my mind it was going to do. So try #2 was Herbal Essences in Bleach Blonde. Lightened it a bit more, but still somewhat orangey. Third attempt to straighten it out was Colorsilk in Medium Ash Blonde. Thought that the ASH would get rid of some of the brassiness... Now the roots are a nice Honey Blonde (PERFECT) and the rest is GREY. I definitely done have the cash to go to a salon now, since Ive already spent like 50 bucks trying to fix it... What Do I Do?? Toner Maybe? I don't want to go back to a dark color, just to fix it... that defeats the whole purpose of the whole Fiasco. Any help appreciated!

You have probably given your hair follicles a heart attack with all the dying process. I would leave it alone and let the hair recuperate for a while before bombarding it again with all those chemicals (no matter how bad it looks). Wear a scarf for a while. Your hair needs attention, you want it forever don't you ?

Bleached blonde hair can turn an unpleasant color, such as green, orange, blue or gray when you apply an at-home box color on it. If you attempt to fix it yourself, it will only make matters worse. I recommend that you go to the salon and have them do a corrective color. If going to the salon isn't an option, ask your mother to help you correct the color.
