I think I could be pregnant
I had a period feb 11-15 and did not continue my birth control and I have been off it for 2 weeks. According to the ovulation calendar I was ovulating yesterday and had unprotected sex. Could I be pregnant

Yes. Any time you have sex, even with protection, pregnancy is possible.

It's way too early to test. You'll have to wait until your period is due. If you miss it, wait at least 2 weeks, and then test with first morning urine. If that test is negative, wait for your next period, and if you miss it as well, test again or get a blood test.

Realize that your period, and ovulation, will not be on schedule for a few months after you stop using the pill. If the pill is the contraception you were using, it's unlikely that you ovulated when you thought, as it takes a few months for your body to get back on track. But, pregnancy is still possible, so wait and see what happens with your next period.

Good luck, and baby dust your way.

I'm curious. The day after sex, how would a doctor be able to help?

I think she's in the 9th grade... maybe that explains the spelling and the poor advice.

I love it when people that can't possibly know anything about the subject, answer these questions. It's not called Ask and I'll guess site, it's Ask me help desk. If you can't help, don't answer. Guesses don't do anyone any good, and guesses are the reason so many people don't have the proper information.

If the OP wanted a kids advice, she'd ask a kid.

Frankly, I think this site should have an age limit. I'm not saying that teens shouldn't be allowed to ask questions, but I don't think anyone under the age of 18 should be allowed to answer them. That's my opinion.

Even on the teen boards they can do a lot of damage. I've seen 15 year olds tell another 15 year old that they should have sex, as long as they shower afterwards, they can't get an STD or get pregnant. SMH. :(

There are intelligent teens out there, but sadly, the majority don't even know how pregnancy works. I don't think any of them should be giving answers on this site, not if we wish to educate those that are posting here. Questions, yes. Answers, no. That's my opinion.

Well usually you go to a doctor to see if you are pregnant or not.

Are you reading what you've been told? No one can tell the next day if they are pregnant, not even a doctor.

All right yes I am a teen. SO WHAT?! You were there once, we ALL were a teen once, and not just teens but people JUST LIKE YOU, all around the world can say stupid things. OK... I said "go to the doctor," All right I was thinking that maybe she she go to the doctor and get cheeked out to see if she's pregnant or not. If I am wrong about them I'm sorry. EVERYONE makes mistake and possibly this was a mistake I have made, but that doesn't mean you need to go on and judge me; and OK I spelled some words wrong. NO ONE IS PERFECT. This is the end of the conversation.

And the doctor can tell if you're pregnant a day after you have sex? That's incredible, seeing as you're not even actually pregnant until 7 days after sex.

Also, no, you don't have to go to the doctor to see if you're pregnant or not. When you miss your period you wait at least two weeks, then you take an at home pregnancy test first thing in the morning. That's how most people determine if they're pregnant or not.

You can't be wrong on this forum. People don't come here to have children guess about their health. That's the whole point. Yes, you're wrong. It has nothing to do with you being a child, it has to do with the fact that you gave inaccurate advice. That's not what this site is about.

Like I said in my previous post, not all teens have no idea about sex or pregnancy, but most have no clue. They shouldn't be posting advice about something they know nothing about! If you don't know, then don't post!

As for this being the end of the conversation, well, you don't determine that. If I wish to continue posting I will.

Don't answer anything you personally do not have knowledge about. You could give someone information that is dangerous. Stick to what you know and watch your attitude. You have no right to talk to an adult like this ever. We could be your teacher, your doctor, your coach, or even your parents' friends, so I suggest you mind your manners.

Yes yes yes all right I got it OK. ALL people can make mistakes. I apologize for my answer if it seemed "stupid" to you, but that doesn't mean you judge my answer, even if you are the smartest person on earth. Next time think before you speak come something's you say can be hurtful.

You still don't seem to understand.

You told someone that had sex the day before, to go to the doctor to find out if she's pregnant.

Do you know how pregnancy works? Do you know why your advice was wrong?

When someone posts inaccurate advice, it's our job to make sure that it's corrected. If that makes you feel bad, than don't post unless you know for sure that your advice is accurate. Your answers won't be judged if they're the right answers. Only if they're wrong, which was the case in this thread.

If you can't handle people pointing out your mistakes, you really won't be able to handle this site.

    Good luck.

I did think before I spoke and we are telling you something. It is hurtful because you refuse to listen. You better hope I'm not your teacher. You won't like it when you go to school.

Alty, you know how I feel about kids on adult boards.

That having been said could someone translate this, please: "Next time think before you speak come somethings you say can be hurtful."

    I'm guessing it means;

"Next time think before you speak, because some things you say can be hurtful".

    But that's just a guess.
