Was there any court order for custody? What did you do to find your child when she didn't return? Are you listed as the legal father?

We need the answers to advise you.

There are no custody documents. Ive had him all his life 5years she came to get him for 2 weeks but never rreturned h8m and moved to California. Her current boyfriend cslled and stated she left my son in a LA hotel alone for 2 days with her 2month old son and her 15 year old brother with no food. The boyfriend went and got them and called me and told me to get my son because he doesn't know where the mom is and he can't take care of him so I just purchased a ti ket for him to send him on a plane in the morning he's only 6 years old. My concern is what do I do to try and gain custody. I am listed as his father on the birth certificate and tbe paternity acknowledgement document in ga. I really need to knowwhat to do.

File in your local court for sole custody.

Yes, I would try that, but it appears that California, has jurisdiction under UCCJEA.

Have the child returned to you. In the meantime, you file for custody. I'm still thinking that GA may have jurisdiction.
