    Spud is being naughty
Well, he has A lot of chew toys, and he knows what he is and isn't allowed to chew. But sometimes he'll intentionaly chew things he knows he's not supposed to, I've read the jack russels profile, and what I read is that they tend o seek attention whether good or bad, when they feel neglected, but we're not neglecting him at all! Like sometime when I tie my hair up. When I but the brush down to put the scrunchie in my hair, he litteraly sneaks it away, and sometime he even hides things from me, like dog food. When I was cleaning the room, I found some dog pellets, a lot of my scruncies, 2 pairs of socks and my boyfriends missing lighter behind the bed. What is triggering him into hiding my things, and chewing things he knows he shouldn't? Is he getting bored of his chew toys or something?

Sure, lots of dogs of all breeds chew when p.o'd. Paper is a favorite of many dogs if you get home later than usual. Watch out if your mail comes through a mail slot in the door, or they can get to the paper towels, and there's always TP. It's sort of like me going to the freezer for some ice cream if I'm upset about something. They express themselves how they can.

My JRT isn't so much naughty as she is jealous of other people, and especially the cat. Dogs can be taught about jealousy much as children can, but it takes more patience.

This sounds more like boredom than jealousy. JRTs are extremely high energy dogs, and get bored very easily. My brother's "Pinchers," may he Rest In Peace, had a favorite playtime. He would go out the doggie door and stand on the back porch jumping up to look in the family room window, a jump of about 2 and 1/2 feet. The doggie door opened into the family room, he just wanted to jump.

My dogs are larger (Dobermans) and enjoy playing tug'o'war with the house. They haven't moved it yet, but ...
An activity will likely help with boredom more than just toys. Finding what activity yours enjoys is the hard part.

Good luck with your "Spud." It's really hard to have a life when the dog wants all your attention 27 hours a day.
