    I Have been a plumber for over 20 yrs in the state of VA.. with no plumbing lis. Have moved to state of Texas that require a lis for plumbing what do I do

    The answer seems pretty obvious. Get a license.

    I don't know of any 'school of experience' license. Bite the bullet and apprentice to a sympathetic plumber such as an older one who is retiring soon and willing to pay you a reasonable wage to do all the work with all your skills.

    Another alternative is to move back to VA.

    It appears Virginia requires a Plumbers license also. How were you working without one.
    Even if you were grandfathered in, do they not issue you a license ?
