    How do you convert 120 to 230v?
    I'm wondering if its possible to convert 120 to 230v because I need to now what kind of converter to buy?

    What do you intend to do with it? And what's it for? Those are two important things to consider first.

    You should have a 230 line ran for operation of equipment.

    Sure, use a step up transformer. But for a lot less money why not run a 240 line?

    Sorry, it's not that easy. You definitely need to answer Smooty's questions. It's not just a matter of voltage, but also of wattage/amperage.

    Well it's a O3 generator it puts out 120V and about 1 amp but I got a buddy that lives out in Europe so I need to know what type of converter he needs to buy. Would I have to get detailed technical specifications regarding power consumption to know what type of converter he needs to buy?
