Stomach pain during pregnancy
Hello I am 5 to 6 weeks pregnant and I am having a pain in my upper stomach part.. sometimes it feels like something is boiling inside and I want to throw up but I can't so I force myself to throw up because it makes me feel better.. but the pain is always there.. I can't eat properly because I don't feel hungry all I feel is pain.. I try to lie down because it makes my stomach feel better.. is that pain normal.. I've been chatting to my friends and family no one had an upper stomach pain while being pregnant

I had really bad upper stomach pain when I was pregnant the doctor said it was acid reflux which I didn't believe.. what worked for me were ginger pills helped with the constant sick feeling and once that was gone the pain was gone its super cheap and you can get it just about anywhere... I really don't suggest aking yourself sick not good for you or baby..
Good luck :)

Yea its not and if you make yourself sick too much the acid in your stomach can make holes in your throat

Please do NOT put a "heat thing" on your stomach. That is VERY dangerous to baby!
It's quite possible you have gall stones. They are common in pregnancy.

It depends.
I developed an esophageal hernia during my second pregnancy. Every time I would bend over, I would throw up.
I was told it would go away after the first trimester, but it didn't. I had to deal with it for the entire 9 months.
It really depends on the individual. You can't go by what other people have experienced, since you're not them, and they're not you.

What's your medical background? How can you assure the poster that this will disappear in her second trimester "like magic"? Do you have access to her medical records? Are you her doctor?
This is your experience. Unless you have medical research to back up your claims, there's really no way you can guarantee that the OP (original poster) will experience the "magic" you did.
We have to base our answers on facts. It's fine to post personal experience in the relationship forums and use that as your advice, but on the medical boards you have to rely on facts. The facts are, no one knows what the OP will experience. Just like every other woman on earth, her pregnancy is unique to her. There are no guarantees on what she'll feel or how she'll feel, and there's no way to put a time limit on anything she's feeling.

I'm trying to be reasuring and supportive which is something I think all pregnant ladies need I'm not going to say things that are going to scare her
Yes that was my experience and yours may be different but acid reflux is normal in your first trimester and USUALLY not always will go away in your second trimester

Your doctor takes care of you. Your doctor knows your history. Your doctor does tests on you, and monitors you, and that's what he basis his diagnosis on.
You are not the person posting this question, therefore what your doctor says about your pregnancy, has no bearing on the poster and her pregnancy. Do you see what I'm saying?
I wasn't talking to you like you're stupid, I was explaining the criteria for posting on this forum. We don't diagnose here, because it's not possible, not even a doctor can diagnose online. You cannot tell people "Oh, well I went through that and I'm fine, so you will be too". You are you, not the poster. You have no idea what her medical history is, so there's no way for you to know that your experience will also be hers.
In other words, what your doctor said to you, has no bearing on the OP and her situation. None at all.

Rollie, I didn't shut your thread down. Your thread was shut down by a moderator because of your bad attitude and inability to listen. If I had the power to shut it down, I would have, but I don't.
You don't get to dictate how your questions are answered. This is a question and answer site, not a "make rollie-pollie feel good about being a mentally unstable 16 year old mother to be" site.
This site is about asking questions, and getting real answers. Not all answers are going to be positive. If you only want positive, talk to your friends, they're willing to lie to you, we're not.
Now please, if you want to discuss anything else, start your own thread, don't hijack this one.

This isn't about being caring and supportive. It's a Q and A board and bad information can be dangerous.

How is saying that acid reflux is normal in the first trimester dangerous medical information?

Alty already addressed this. I could either re-post what she wrote or suggest that you re-read the thread.
Re-reading is probably the better course of action .

Ma'am with all due respect every doctor will tell you that acid reflux is normal and any pregnancy site will tell you the same and again I don't like being talked down to so if you could speak to me as an equal I would really appreciate it

One more comment and then I'm out of here because this is going around and around - every Doctor will not tell you that acid reflux is normal in pregnancy. Here, let me ask someone.
All right, I'm back. He says no. He says it happens. Sometimes it's a problem. Sometimes it's not. That's why pregnant women should talk to their Doctors. You "guaranteed" it would stop. You're wrong.
No one is talking down to you. You are causing your own problems. You apparently have no problems criticizing other people, you just can't handle it when anyone says anything back to you.
And also with all due respect - there are no equals here. We are all individuals. Some of us have earned the respect of others. Some have not. It's not a question of "equals."
And so I'm off this thread -
