    Declaration for first year choice sample statement
    Hi there,
    I am a resident alien during 2012 and my wife a dual status alien (non resident alien at the beginning of 2012 and resident alien at the end of 2012, stayed more than 180 days during 2012) . I know that I have to attach a statement for first year choice as a resident alien for 2012. Can anyone has any sample statement?. I am going to IRS office to file my taxes on 2/15. Can anyone send me the sample statement before I visit the office?

    Look in IRS Pub 519 for what the statement has to say.
