How do I get my cat to stop going to the bathroom
My cat is 9mo old he is neutered and has always used the litter box. We have him in our shop, and he recently learned he can climb the ladder to get up on top and goes to the bathroom? We moved the ladder and now he figured out how to get up w/o the ladder!! How do I get him to start using his litter box again??

I assume you aren't attempting to get him to stop going to the bathroom but are attempting him to stop using everything but the litter box. I'd be so frustrated -
Anyway, how "public" is the litter box? He appears to be looking for privacy.
Is the litter box always clean?

This might not completely solve the problem, but It's a suggestion to try.
Cats and dogs do not like the smell of Vinegar!
Make a mixture of 50-50 water and vinegar in a spray bottle. If you can reach the top where he is going, spray it good with the mixture. He will then go somewhere else. Keep trying it, and maybe eventually he will go back to the litter box.
Cats do this sometimes... mine, too. The vinegar works sometimes. Good luck.

I am not aware that dogs don't like vinegar, nor is my Vet - it's a home remedy for all sorts of canine problems.

Don't they make some sort of litter box little house type contraption? I had a dog with "shy bowels" (as I used to call them), and she would hide in a corner, under the bushes. I don't know if she was startled one time or what happened but sometimes it was a problem. I ended up putting up a three sided partition for her.
Of course, if the cat is climbing ladders this could turn into a show business career!

I would say he is about 2 years. He will be all sweet, he will love on you, lay on your lap, then his pupils will get really big, he will stand up, start biting the top of my wrist, wrap his arms around my arms like he's hugging it, then starts humping my arm with his back legs. I try to push him...
Cat's Bathroom Habits

I'm starting to become really frustrated with my 3 year old cat, Cupcake. I love her to death, I've had her since she was born, and she's a total lap cat. But her bathroom behavior is really starting to get out of hand.
She was perfectly fine while she was growing up. I raised her with her...
