    Ear twitching
He has a infection and is on antibiotics. Not sure where the infection is as the vet couldn't pin point where in his body it is. Is responding well to antibiotics is eating again and his temperature is back to normal. Just noticed today the left ear is twitching all the time. Had his ears checked and no ear infection. Can this be caused by the infection that he is getting over now. All blood work came back normal. One thing is as he became sick his lip on the right side started to sag a lot, but pulled back up after starting antibiotics.

The person to ask is your Vet who has seen and diagnosed the infection.

You have no idea how many people post questions but don't "bother" to take the dog to the Vet. Your dog is lucky that you are his person!

And, yes, an ear infection which is not cleared up could presumably cause his ear to "twitch."

    What breed dog?

    Hi thanks for the reply,

He is a pure staffy, 13yrs old the vet is unsure if what is causing the infection, she just said its not a ear infection. While he is responding well to antibiotics it's just a matter of waiting to see if it's a grass seed or some type of abscess that's infected and is deep in his skin. My vet said it might take time to show so it then can be removed. Just weird how his ear is all of a sudden started to twitch today he has been on his meds for 4 days now. His ear doesn't smell and isn't sore. Maybe it's just upset from being played with by the vet yesterday. I'm going to call tomorrow and just let her no that his ear is twitching a lot.

I do hope you and your dog have more years together. My Molly, a mixed terrior-poodle, were always together for 12 years. Best wishes, and I do applaude you for having a Vet and taking it to them.
