Why does my dad hang out with his mom instead of his wife?
After Sunday school and on weekends my dad goes and picks up his mom instead of staying with his wife. My mom feels lonely and helpless and she has to keep a look out for me and my sisters. One time she had an argue with him and he threw his computer across the room and broke it. When they have those fights I'm worried they might get divorced. What do I do?

You do nothing. Stay out of this. It's your parents' problem, not yours.

My mom wants to know why he does and she wants me to ask. I told her I'm on here and she's fine with it.

She wants you to ask strangers why he prefers to hang out with his mother instead of his wife? We can't know the answer to that.
Maybe he is a momma's boy. Maybe he is tired of fighting with your mother. Maybe he isn't really hanging out with his mother. There are too many maybes.

Your mom should talk with him and go with him to marriage counseling. You are not to be involved in their situation.

Why does mom not go along with dad to visit his mother ?
What culture is this, many cultures and society, respect of the parents is first amount every thing. Putting parents ahead of wife is common in many cultures.

There really is nothing you can do. Your Dad needs to talk with your Mom about all this, but obviously he doesn't want to. Hopefully, they will work it all out. Meantime, just do the best you can.

You ask a lot of questions that can't be answered by people who aren't THERE. There are easily a dozen very common reasons he spends time with his mother, number one being that she is all alone. As for your parents getting divorced, life is full of what ifs. You prepare yourself as best you can for what ifs, but if you obsess, you are just hurting yourself and wasting time.

Judging by your other threads your family is extremely disfunctional - and you are involved in every aspect of everyone's life. I believe you are 11 years old. These are adult problems, and I'd be very surprised if your Mom is confiding in you and/or asking your advice. According to you she's already told you you aren't very empathetic - but now she's asking you for sympathy?
Maybe your father wants some peace in his life, and the only place he can find it is out of the house.
Or maybe this is just 11-year old drama.
Or maybe it's something in between.
You are far too involved in everyone else's life - and that includes your parents. I see a lot of you helping them with their problems.
Sorry, I'm just not believing it.

I had said I thought she's 12, and someone said no, she's 9... very young to be asking such a variety of unanswerable questions.

Maybe I'm confusing people - she's in fourth grade but should be in third grade. How old are kids in third grade?
It was part of her "stop frustrating me" comments addressed at all of us.

See my mom and dad are "divorced."
But they are not legally divorced.
So he is not paying child support.
So life sucks right now.
If my mom and dad do get divored... Is it a court deal?
Or is it just papers and done?
