I would say it depends on how many trees, how close they are, where your sewer pipes etc are, and how much you are willing to spend. The easiest way is to hire a backhoe to dig a trench right along the foundation (and insulate with foam board while you are at it). You then have a few years to remove the trees before they send out new roots.
I suppose you could dig a narrow trench further out and fill it with concrete, cover with sod, and leave the trees where they are.

We don't need pics so much as feet and where pipes are. Excavating is really your only good options - whether you pay 2 people about $150/hr or rent something like a Bobcat for a day. That's in the US anyway.

Do the trees belong to you? If so have them cut.

To me 10 paces is about 30 feet. Pines don't have root system that large.

What type of pines? White pines have a very shallow root system and yellow pines have a deep tap root.

You might also try "root killer". You can buy a substance at most hardware stores, that will kill roots and stumps. Also, you might drill down into a root, if you can see it, and pour salt into the hole, maybe 3/4 in. in diameter. It will kill the root. This is just a suggestion and will not work if there are too many roots running all over the place. Good luck.
