Recurring memories that cause violent thoughts.
    Hi,

I've been having trouble with memories coming into my head and they will play out over and over and over again until I snap, I start yelling and screaming and I will pound my fist on walls. I will always have violent thoughts about killing the person who had caused the bad memory with knives or guns.

Most if not all the bad memories are really not bad at all. Such as when a person in the group has a different opinion than I about something. I'm a highly sensitive person so when they express their opinion it can really hurt my feelings and if they say it again I begin to wonder if they are picking at me or pushing my buttons for fun. When I start thinking that I have the violent thoughts about brutally killing that person.

This is really scaring me. I'm afraid that I will one day snap and kill someone. I see a phyciatrist who has diagnosed me with schizoeffective disorder, a mental illness that incompasses both schizophrenic and bipolar symptoms.

I have tried to see a counsiler about this but my problems have felt so complex that I just don't know where to start.
