Maybe a month after breeding an experienced person can feel them. X-rays or ultra sound are surer.

I hate to see people that have to ask such a basic question question breeding dogs. How much research have you done to make sure she is free of genetic defects? How good of offspring has dogs from her line produced when mated with dogs from the studs line? I am very concerned about the 10,000,000 dogs we slaughter every year for lack of homes. Go to Petfinder.com: Adopt a pet and help an animal shelter rescue a puppy or kitten. and see how many Dachshunds in your area need homes. I also see unending questions from people that are struggling with a poorly bred dog.

You shouldn't be breeding her if you don't even know the answer to your question. Please reconsider if it isn't to late. Daschunds are prone to back problems and when your dog is pregnant all that weight is going to put pressure on her back, are you willing to risk your dog's life for a selfish joy of puppies or are you doing it for the money of selling the puppies. Are you financially able to provide for all the vet bills, Prenatel checkups and puppy shots?
Dogs are not here for our entertainment or to profit from, there here to be our friends and companions. You need to really think about this and get your head out of the mud, sure puppies are cute and fun, I recommend that you visit your aniamal shelter and play with the puppies there to get your puppy fix.
Inexpieriece or uneducated people should not be reproducing dogs. My advice to you is if you really have your heart set on having puppies, wait a year and educate yourself on the breed of dog, breeding, a good book to read is how to raise a puppy from the monks of new skete.
Please give your head a shake, if you try getting your dog knocked up without even knowing a simple question like the one your asking your going to be putting your dog at risk and the puppies.
Leave the breeding to the professionals and enjoy your dog for who she is. The world is already overpopulated with dogs, why add more when so many are living without a home.
If you really aren't a selfish person you would realize this.
