Ruud silohuett2 older furnace not maintaining heat
Ruud older furnace turn down thermostat below room temp then back up for desired setting to get it going. Will not run long enough to get temp up to desired setting. Cleaned blower motor new filter sanded clean flame sensor. When it duns the air is hot coming down to bottom of furnace cleaned ac evaporaters where hot air passes through still not hot from registers and short cycles

When calling for heat and turning the furnace on, the inducer and main blower start immediately. The igniter doesn't glow. Code implies high temp limit switch is open. I took out the temperature gauge that is juat behind the gas valve (in the plenum) and it shows 0 resistance.

I have a 5.5 year old, 4 ton, split, ruudd furnace. Heating is electrical. The heat does not work, the motor runs but it just blows cold air. The cold settings for air conditioning work well. How do I know whether the problem is with the heating elements or something else? Thanks
