Thank you so very much! I haven't been able to use my dishwasher now for about three weeks, it's been driving me crazy! My husband is an electrician and he looked into it and couldn't figure out what was wrong. This information was exactly what it took to get it up and running, and I didn't even have to go broke to do it!
God Bless web sites such as this.
\Sincerely -M-

YEAH!! It worked. Have had Clean light flashing for a couple of days. Tried turning of the circuit beaker but nothing worked. Look my question up on Google and found this. Thanks so much. It took 3 cycles of pushing Normal Wash and Heated Dry and all of the panel lights came on. THANKS THANKS THANKS!

My "clean" light is flashing on model 665.15932. I was going to reset using all the suggestions on this site but my dishwasher does not have a "heated dry" button. Does anyone know the reset sequence for this model?

Many have suggested starting the 16.5 minute diagnostic and self calibration cycle but cancelling immediately. I think you'd be better off letting the machine finish. Either way will clear the error code but letting the full cycle run is like letting a tune up for free.
Pull the toe kick panel by removing two screws and you can read the "for technicians only" instructions taped to the inside to see how to do it on your specific model. If there is an error after the self-diagnosis is over, don't despair... most of the parts are available on line or at your local appliance parts depot, and all the parts can be installed with a screw driver and some patience.

Kenmore Elite Dishwasher Model #665 1376 "Normal Wash" light blinks, controls are inoperative. Tried the codes listed for other models... No Joy! Does anyone have a different procedure for this model?

Thank you! This normal wash/ heated dry back and forth technique seems to have worked. Thank goodness we are avoiding an expensive repair job.

I just had an argurment with my wife about getting a repair man to fix our dishwasher. So I googled and came to your reply. Pressing normal and heated dry worked. It reset. So now I'm checking if it will run. Thanks

I have a Kenmore model 665 749632. The following sequence worked for me:
Press Normal wash, then heated dry. Repeat 5 times.
All the lights on the panel came on.
Close door. Press Start. Open door. Press Cancel 2 times.
Thanks for this website! It's Dec. 22, I have 10 people here for the holidays and having the dishwasher broken down was a little stressful! Sears wanted $75 to come to the door, and the earliest appt. was for Dec. 28th. Now I can enjoy my grandkids vs. washing dishes!!
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!!

Thank you so much! I did exactly what you said and my dishwasher is working fine. I was so stressed that I was going to have to pay to have someone come out to fix it and there's no way I can afford that right now. Thanks again.

Follow-up question - any thoughts on if you follow the "hi temp wash" and "heated dry" routine, all the lights come on... and then they never go back off? Am I officially fried?

I have a Kenmore 665 and using the sequence of pressing normal wash and heated dry repeatedly resolved the problem of the flashing green clean light. Great!

My washer appears to be properly reset and working. I unfortunately am not sure which sequence order I used (normal wash-heated dry or the other way around) but I did find I had to have the door fully close for the reset to be done.

I had the same thing happen to me but found that when I closed the door then went through the reset sequence, the lights went out as described in the other posts. The reset was then successful for me.

Thanks everyone! My machine all seems to be working, but why did the machine go strike in the first place? As far as I know, my water heater temp hasn't changed... Does anyone know?

I found part of a plastic cutting mat that had been burned. I am hoping that is the only reason for the shut down and no repair will have to be made. After trying the button sequence mentioned in the earlier posts it is working fine.
