    Defrost cycle question
I have a coleman heatpump airhandler split system and was wondering if system is low on charge can this cause the defrost mode to not defrost as efficiently, it goes into defrost mode but just gives out a slight sheen of steam instead of the poof of steam I usually see and it does not defrost so is this due to low charge.

That is one possibility. Others are a bad defrost sensor or defrost board causing defrost to terminate too soon.

Heat Pump defrost cycle [ 1 Answers ]

Hopefully my question isn't redundant. Earlier this year I changed my thermostat from a manual to a programmable thermostat.
