    Turning Off My Cold Water
    Last week I actually broke my shower handle because my cold water would not turn off. I have fixed my handle, but when I put my main water on -- I still cannot turn off my cold water. Please help.

    I take it you have hot and cold handles on your shower valve and not a single handle. Did you check and change the washer? If you open up the valve to change the washer check the seat by running your fingernail around to check for nicks or rough spots. If you find any then replace the seat also. Good luck, Tom
