Does it crank? If so, does it crank slowly?

There are many things that could cause this.

Ok.. good point... the OTHER most common problem is a worn out battery... since battery oputput goes down with the temprature.. you notice it more on a cold day.

    Thoughts:

. Replace the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor, which affects fuel injector pulse width. The ECT Sensor is a temperature dependent resistor (thermistor), whose resistance decreases as the engine coolant temperature increases. It provides a richer mixture when cold, leaner mixture when hot. They become corroded, due to not changing the coolant frequently enough, flood the engine, and waste a tremendous amount of fuel.

. Replace the Ignition Control Module (ICM) and coil.

. Remove and fully charge the battery. Afterwards, check the condition of each cell (E-Z Red S101 Battery Hydrometer). Clean the battery terminals and cable connections; check the condition of the cables for hidden corrosion and breaks.

. Use SAE 5W-30 full synthetic engine oil.

Will it start with a jump start? If it does, replace battery AND replace negative and positive battery cables. A internally corroded battery cable will give all of your symptoms. If the battery is more than 4 years old. Replace it.
