How can I clean dog hair off blankets?
I have a long hair mix breed with black hair and its everywhere. I wash the blankets by themselves but the hair seems to cling after washing and drying. Could my washer be the issue?

No, your washer isn't the problem. You first have to remove (we use library tape) as much hair as possible before washing. There are several kinds of hairs on cats and dogs. The worst to remove are guard hairs which stick into the fabric like little needles. It is almost impossible to remove them all.

One of those lint rollers that uses what looks like masking tape spooled on it backwards works great. Department stores have them. They are actually the cheaper type of lint roller.

Or wrap tape around your hand and do it.

P.S. You must remove as much of the hair as possible manually before washing the blanket or clothing.

I use a reusable/washable lint roller. You can find them online, or in some department stores. They maintain their stickiness, you just rinse them under warm water when they're full, let them dry, and use them again.

But tape wrapped around your hand (stick side out) works too, it just costs more in the long run, if you need to do this on a regular basis.

Do you use dryer sheets? Dryer sheets will help too.

Thanks for all the replies! I will try the lint roller.
