    Dripping sound in bedroom wall
    Hi

I've checked several forums but could not find a situation like this one so I am posting this message.

I hear a dripping noise in the bedroom wall when quiet especially in the night when trying to sleep, its annoying. It is a room away from the bathroom and turning on any taps or such does not affect the dripping. There is also no signs of dampness. It's a ground floor maisonette with one above.

Any advice would be very helpful as to how to pursue this

    Thanks in advance

    Hi SM

From your description this sounds to be a case of the building simply expanding and contracting... can sound exactly like dripping. The intensity or occurence/non-occurence of the dripping can/will depend on the different seasons and ambient temperature fluctuations... ;)

If you see no wet spot AND you are sure there are no water pipes nearby I would just keep an eye out for any obvious signs. Otherwise, just like so many other people with theses issues, you'll get used to it over time.

    Hi Mark

    Thanks for your quick reply

There is a CH rad on one side of the wall but even in the early morning when it hasn't been on for hours it still drips.

I'll keep my eye/ears on it

    Thanks

I have a slow drip drip sound inside the wall that I can hear in my upstairs bathroom and in the interior wall underneath the bath (it's a townhouse). The dripping seems not to be related to prior water use -- I hear it at night if I get up to go to the bathroom, before I flush. I had something...

So the house is only 5 years old, and it already seems like there are plumbing issues. So, we've stopped using that one and use...
