    Chevy Van won't start
    I have had several issues over the last couple of months.

    Previously I would put in the key, it would beep and things would get power.. windows, radio, etc. Usually it would start, but the battery seemed to occasionally drain and would have to be charged for the van to turn over all the way and start.

    A few weeks ago, I test started it and it was fine. Then the next day when I went to move it it wouldn't start. I thought the battery had drained again (looked like the volt meter in the dash showed it was low), so I pulled it and took it to the shop.

    Turns out they said it wouldn't even hold a full charge, only 12.5... and it was under warranty so they gave me a new battery.

    Today, I installed the new battery. The first time I put the key in, it beeped but then immediately went dead... nothing, no power to anythying, definitely will not turn over. I have checked the battery connections several times, but I can't get anything to power.

    What potential causes and solutions can I check? What could cause this... a short, bad fuses? What would be the simple steps just to making sure everything is getting power?

    Test all under hood and under dash fuses with a test light or multimeter. It will likely lead you to a bad ignition switch.
