Infection and Pain after Crown work
I had root canal last month and had permanent crown done on my tooth#12 four days ago . Two days later I started having intense pain around that area and after a day the pain focus on tooth #10. I went to dentist office today and he said tooth #10 needs root canal as weel. I have never had pain in #10 and he said there is nothing to do with the crown work. I strongly suspect it is not a coincidence. Can any one tell me whether I am right and what I should do?

The dentist can show you the x-ray of your upper left incisor, and you can see for yourself if there is a cavity.

    Good Luck!

Is it possible that this pain and infection is caused by crown work? The dental assistant said my gum has infection and used some tools to push my gum aside and down to expose the tooth base before she put the crown on, it was extremely painful. Will this extensive injury to the gum tissue cause infection to other too nerves?
I can't tell whether there is decay under the fillings. He said maybe, at least I don't see big cavities.

Did the dentist check the bite on the new crown and teeth around it? You may just need an adjustment to your bite.
