    Am I Overly Jealous ?
My husband is a truck driver and I have had some issues with him over the years we have been married. About a 2 years after we were married I found a woman's phone # in his truck when I was cleaning it. He told me it was just a female driver he had met and it was no big deal. About a year later I found another woman's phone# in his jeans pocket and I called that one she told me she was a waitress in truckstop restaurant and that nothing had happened. When I confronted him about it he told me the same thing. I asked him why he ended up with the number and he said he was feeling unattractive and it was just some harmless flirting going on and that is how he ended up with phone#. He told me he loved me and would never do anything to jepordize our marriage. Should I be worried about this. Do you really think he could be cheating on me?

If he is not cheating, he is flirting (his own words there). Truck drivers have such a bad reputation for messing around on their wives and girlfriends. That does not mean that every driver does this, but I do know that it happens all too easily. When I was first married, my husband drove truck and he used to tell me how hard it was to avoid the "lot lizards" as they were called - some so bold and to try and climb in the trucks without notice. I told him I did not believe all that. So I went with him on one of his long trips to the West Coast and he was so right. Those women were everywhere in those truck stops-out in the lot and in the café and just everywhere. They were not shy either. I was stunned.

With your husband's job - you will just have to trust him that he is faithful. How can you prove otherwise? I agree that the two phone numbers are suspicious but that does not mean he cheated on you. It could well be just as he said. Some drivers travel with their family - kids and all. Not every truck driver is out there finding ways to be unfaithful. I think the majority are hard working, underpaid, and are trying to do the best for their family. I don't know many of them make any money nowadays with the cost of fuel and the expenses of daily living. Used to be $100.00 could last a week (not counting fuel expenses) - it sure does not last more than a couple days now.

I hope your husband is a true blue and faithful guy to you. He says he loves you and would never do anything to jeopardize the marriage. Believe that. Best to you.

Your not over reacting just expressing your fears and that's normal as he is gone a lot. Try not to think the worst.

No, you are not being overly jealous.
In fact, I would be worried if you would not have these fears... right?

Of course you don't like the fact you found phone numbers of other women in your husband's truck! You are the only one who can answer the question: do you trust your husband ?

    Look, we all flirt.
    Most of it is harmless...
You expressed your fear and it is understandable.

I agree... don't think the worst.
Don't drive yourself nuts the next time he is away.

    Good luck !
