Im a resident and my fiancé is just visiting for now
    Hello,
My boyfriend just came to visit me and he finally proposed to me. Im a resident, and I'm planning to become a Citizen very soon. How can he stay legally here in the USA with me until I become a Citizen so I can do a petition for him to get the Residency.
Please help me. Im confuse and I really don't want him to leave me! Should start a petition or any paperwork now?

A word to the wise - AMHD prohibits the posting of personal contact info. This is also very foolish - I "looked you up" in a matter of seconds. You are posting on a public board - giving that type of info is dangerous,

    Also, please post once.

Here is the comprehensive info and the "people" to contact - http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/usc...0045f3d6a1RCRD

Wait until you become US citizen, otherwise you will need an attorney because he overstayed. If he overstays more than a year, he will be banned for ten years.

Also, the fact that he came here on a tourist visa to propose to you could be strongly suspected for visa fraud if you try to get immigration benefits for him without him leaving, because a tourist visa cannot have immigrant intent.

Most likely he will have to return, and then apply for visa to come to marry you.
